Visiting Paleokastritsa, one of Corfu’s most striking coastal areas, you will experience impressive seascapes and crystal-clear waters while exploring the Monastery of the Virgin Mary, a historic religious site where you can admire Byzantine and post-Byzantine icons, along with important artefacts of the Greek Orthodox Church. The route continues to the village of Lakones, set above Paleokastritsa, a traditional settlement with stone houses dating back to the 18th and 19th century, known for its authentic character and its famous viewpoint, Bella Vista, offering panoramic views over the coastline. The experience then moves to Pelekas, a hillside village where you can spend time in the central square or take in the surrounding views from its elevated position, including the well-known viewpoint of the area. The final stop is Corfu Town, where you will explore its historic centre, visit the Old Fortress, see the Church of Saint Spyridon, walk through the narrow streets known as “kandounia”, and pass through Liston Square and the Palace of St. Michael and St. George, with time for coffee, shopping, museum visits, or local dining.
