Corfu is well known for its small, hidden beaches with crystal-clear waters — what locals often call piscina naturale, natural swimming pools formed along the island’s coastline. There is no better way to explore these secluded coves than by gliding across the sea in a kayak or on a stand-up paddleboard, combining gentle adventure with a nature-friendly way of discovering the coast. After a short briefing from your instructor, guests set out paddling along a lush coastline where steep green slopes meet the deep azure waters of the Ionian Sea. As we move along the shore, we admire the rich coastal landscape and the island’s biodiversity while enjoying the peaceful rhythm of the sea. Along the way, we pause to explore one of the many sea caves in the area — a short but exciting stop that reveals some of the most beautiful hidden spots along the coast. Reaching a secluded “private” beach accessible only from the sea, we take time to swim, relax, and soak in the surroundings, whether resting on smooth pebbles or sunbathing on the rocks. Before paddling back to the starting point, guests are encouraged to snorkel in the exceptionally clear waters — masks and snorkels can be provided upon request, although guests are also welcome to bring their own equipment.
