Description
We begin our tour with a walk to the 13th-century Byzantine castle of Angelokastro (“The Angel Castle”), where we admire the magnificent views of the Ionian Sea while strolling among the remains of what was once a powerful and impressive fortress. From there, we continue along scenic trails through olive groves that connect two of the most charming villages in the northwest of the island, offering a peaceful opportunity to experience the quiet beauty and tranquility of the landscape. As we enter the historic “donkey’s trail,” the views become even more breathtaking, yet nothing compares to the moment when we witness the sun slowly dipping into the calm Ionian Sea. Surrounded by this romantic scenery, we pause to enjoy the sunset — a glass of wine in hand — completing a truly memorable experience.
