Liquid Blue

This full-day private journey unfolds across open Ionian waters, where distance and stillness become part of the experience. Departing from Alipa Port in Palaiokastritsa, the boat sets a direct course toward Paxos, leaving the dramatic coastline behind as the horizon gradually opens. The crossing itself carries a sense of calm anticipation, allowing the sea to define the rhythm of the day.

As Paxos draws near, its raw limestone formations begin to rise from the water. The route naturally leads into the Blue Caves, where light filters through carved openings in the rock, reflecting softly across the surface below. Moving slowly along the coastline, time is dedicated to exploring the caves and nearby stretches, with swimming stops chosen according to sea conditions and the flow of the moment — some beneath towering cliffs, others at quieter beaches nearby.

Continuing along Paxos, the experience expands beyond the caves to include additional swim stops in clear, inviting waters ideal for snorkeling and relaxed exploration. Midway through the day, the boat docks at one of the island’s ports, either Gaios or Loggos, offering time ashore. Here, the pace shifts gently — a walk through the village, lunch at a waterfront taverna, or simply observing island life before returning to the sea.

The journey then turns south toward Antipaxos, an island defined by its pale seabed and luminous turquoise waters. Anchoring along the coastline, including the area around Voutoumi Beach, allows time to swim, snorkel, or remain on deck, surrounded by color and quiet.

As the afternoon begins to soften, the return route follows the open passage back toward Corfu. If conditions allow, a final stop near Palaiokastritsa, including Paradise Beach, offers a last moment in the water before the crossing continues. The day closes with the sun lowering toward the horizon, arriving back at Alipa Port in a calm, unhurried finish shaped by distance, light, and sea.
